Steve Guest, MD

Dr. Guest joined Baxter Healthcare Corporation in 2008 and is currently the Director of Medical Consultancy. In this position he speaks on a variety of PD therapy topics throughout the United States and has authored many PD-related publications. His “Handbook of Peritoneal Dialysis” was released in 2010.

His previous experience includes positions as an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, and served as a Medical Director of Peritoneal Dialysis at both the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Hospital in San Jose, California.

While at these institutions, Dr. Guest was actively involved in clinical teaching and research and was a repeated awardee of the Henry J. Kaiser Award for Excellent in teaching from Stanford Medical School and received teaching awards at Kaiser Permanente.

Dr. Guest attended college at Emory University and medical school at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. His medical residency in Internal Medicine was at George Washington University Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in Nephrology at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
